We provide air compressor audits and solutions for those operating in San Diego, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas.

What is a Compressed Air Audit? Compressed air audits are an important step to improve efficiency and reduce energy costs. It helps identify how much air you are using, where you are using it, and what kind of energy sources (electricity, natural gas) are being used to generate the air pressure needed for your system. An audit also reveals if any repairs or upgrades are necessary to help extend compressor life.

Benefits of an Air Audit

Compressed Air Audit Levels

Walkthrough Assessment, System Assessment, and Full System Aduit are the three levels of system assessments established by the Department of Energy’s Compressed Air Challenge.

Walkthrough Assessment

This simple walk-the-line audit is a visual check inside and outside the compressor room. Items evaluated in a walkthrough include filters, piping structure, condensate drains, and more. A compressed air walkthrough assessment can identify and resolve issues as rudimentary as sealing leaks and pressure drops.

System Assessment

System assessments utilize our tools and software to evaluate the cost and efficiency of a compressed air system, compare compressor alternatives, and calculate investment paybacks on saved energy. This is an ideal tool for a system walkthrough assessment as defined by the Compressed Air Challenge / DOE or to evaluate multiple alternatives after a full audit or assessment.

Full System Audit

Full system audits provide you with a real-time assessment of your company’s compressed air usage. Our advanced equipment takes input power and pressure readings then calculates true flow output to automatically generate a report which graphics system parameters and air flow. We can determine low production waste, leak rate, inappropriate compressed air usage without interrupting any plant production interruptions. This requirement is defined by the Compressed Air Challenge and DOE.

Who Needs Compressed Air Audits?

Every Southern California business operating with a compressed air system will need an air audit. Audits are recommended every three to five years even without any production or equipment changes. Audits are also suggested anytime business changes are made that may increase workload or require changes to your air compressor.
